製織工程で生まれる柄のズレを錯視として捉え、
オリジナル柄 “Optical Illusion Ikat” をデザインしました。
小幅生地を活かし無駄の無いサイズ感で、布貼りのノートを製作しました。

Kurume Kasuri is a traditional textile from the Chikugo region of Fukuoka, with a history of over 220 years.
By interpreting the characteristic misalignment of patterns that occurs during the weaving process as an optical illusion, we developed an original design titled “Optical Illusion Ikat.”
Making use of the narrow-width fabric, we created a cloth-bound notebook with minimal waste and a well-balanced, compact size.

The fabric is woven at Shimogawa Orimono, a Kurume Kasuri weaving mill in Fukuoka, Japan.
Sewing and finishing are carried out at factories in Japan.
