福井県は古くから編レース製造業の産地として知られ、編レース製品出荷額は全国1位。そんな福井県でレースカーテンを主に製造する荒川レース工業と、レースをもっとシンプルにした「編む」を意匠にしたバッグを生み出しました。

日本で一台しかない繊細な編みを表現する編み機で、あえて無骨でシンプルな「編み」を追求しました。あと染め加工で表と裏の配色を変えることで、新しい模様や形を生み出すモアレのような表情が面白いデザインです。

バッグの下部は目が細かくなっているため、本やスマホなどのアイテムを入れた時も角が保護され、安心して持ち運べます。使い勝手が良く、デイリーシーンでも活躍します。

■ Product Description
This bag features a unique visual effect created by the contrast between the differently dyed front and back layers, adding subtle color and character to everyday styling.The Two Tone Bag is a product developed through a collaboration between TSUGI and designer Yasuhiro Suzuki.

Fukui Prefecture has long been known as a major production area for knitted lace, ranking first in Japan in shipment value. In collaboration with Arakawa Lace Industry, a company specializing in lace curtains in Fukui, we developed this bag by simplifying lace into the essential act of “knitting” as a design element.
Using a one-of-a-kind knitting machine in Japan capable of producing delicate structures, we intentionally pursued a raw and simple knitted texture. Through post-dyeing, the front and back are given different color combinations, creating moiré-like patterns and unexpected visual effects.
The lower part of the bag has a tighter knit structure, which helps protect the corners of items such as books and smartphones, allowing you to carry them with confidence. Practical and easy to use, it is well suited for everyday use.
